Overview of Internship

I’ve been hired for an unpaid internship at El Autobus Creative Agency, where I’ll be focusing on filmmaking and post-production in UNREAL ENGINE 5.5. I'll be actively updating this page week by week to document my progress.

In addition to hands-on experience in these areas, I’ll also receive a crash course in film production.

Level/Set Design, Programming (Blueprints) more to be added as we go!

In week 1, we focused on the basics of working together as a team and getting familiar with the workflow. I suggested using Vive tracking for the project, and it was chosen for the virtual set production.

Turns out, one of the founders, Gregorio aka Greg, had an old tracker that they were looking to integrate into the new setup, so I worked on programming camera smoothing and tracking to improve its performance. Additionally, I helped with various basic tasks around the production and testing things out. It was a great start, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build on this experience in the next few weeks.

Week 1

In week 2, we focused mostly on getting the tracker and camera offset accurately represented in engine, and we begun the process of moving things into the greenscreen room.

Week 2

In week 3, we finished moving things into the green screen room and begun setting up the virtual set! This week was a bit slowed do to health issues, and other work taking priority for Autobús.
