Authors Note 

Closest adaptation of original idea, focused more on the character’s investigation and recovery of information concerning the expedition. Story will be much more about the struggle to trudge on despite the untold horrors of being stranded in the sea.

Summary

Three divers are sent to investigate rumors of strange sea life on the ocean floor. As they descend towards their destination however, they are greeted by the ruins of a mysterious facility and reckages riviling that of the bermuda triangle. Suddenly a loud impact strikes the submarine, and sends the bathysphere hurling into the void. You wake up with both your friends missing, and a damaged diving suit, so your first priority becomes survival. 

Eventually you find that small pockets of the facility are still intact, within the first of which you find a strange diving suit with the abilities of a deep sea squid. It's after donning this suit that you notice the wreckage of the submarine hurtling into the distance just out of reach. The player then chooses to forge down this path in search of the missing submarine. Along this descent they find untold horrors, freakish beauty, as well as hints of something terrifying at play hiding in the depths.

Follow as the MC searches for a way to reach the surface, whilst being chased deeper & deeper

into the abyss.

This story focus much more on the supernatural, fear of the unknown, as well as mystery

Summary

A minor earthquake shakes the sea floor just as you are told of the previous expedition going missing. This causes the player to hallucinate strange & horrific visions from what seems to be the perspective of those who came here before you. Suddenly you are brought back to reality by a loud impact that strikes the submarine, and sends the bathysphere hurling into the void. You wake up with both your friends missing, and a damaged diving suit, so your first priority becomes survival. 

Eventually you find that small pockets of the facility are still intact, many of them built around what looks to be ruins of a hitherto unheard of lost civilization. within the first of which you find an odd diving suit with the abilities of a deep sea squid. It's after donning this suit that you notice the wreckage of the submarine hurtling into the distance just out of reach. The player then chooses to forge down this path in search of the missing submarine. Along this descent they find untold horrors, freakish beauty, as well as hints of something terrifying at play hiding in the depths. Or perhaps the very depths themselves are more than they seem.

Follow as the MC searches for a way to reach the surface, whilst being chased deeper & deeper

into the belly of the beast.

- [ ] Rock climbing

- [ ] Ritualistic dagger / tuning fork that can be used to ward off enemies, interact in rituals and act as a dowsing rod pointing toward the end goal (can also be used as normal knife and can heat up enough to cut through metal and weld

- [ ] Multi tool flashlight, can be used as a wrench/crowbar, and works on a charge bar that can be overcharged in order to stun enemies. You can recharge it at an air pocket/ safe zone.

- [ ] Safe zones / air pockets that act as resident evil safe zones (calm music, can’t be attacked, replenish resources) lore and hints maybe too.

- [ ] Imposter diver who at first acts as a jump scare in first zone, alerts enemies in second zone, and attacks you directly in third zone

- [ ] A jellyfish forest who’s invisible tentacles hang around you hindering your path

- [ ] A bio electric fish or jellyfish. That uses its many spotlights to find and attack you

- [ ] Coelacanth drift feeder that slowly moves around, perhaps like weeping angels since the look like stone
